As we are entering the months of wintery weather, we think it prudent to remind and review with families our Snow Day protocols. One major change is that we will attempt to continue our school activities when the weather is bad through digital home learning.
This will require a measure of coordination and anticipation as teachers and students will be notified to prepare for a potential online learning day when weather forecasts call for harsh conditions. That means, most importantly for students, bringing district Chromebooks home the day before and knowing the procedures for logging in to classes the next day. As part of the new protocol, classes will be delayed two hours on the day of a physical closure.
For more information about our protocols, or to see our downloadable protocol flyer, go to the associated links below.
One additional helpful tip is to follow us on Facebook as we will post any closures or related updates there, along with our website, ParentSquare, and in some cases automated phone messaging system.
Everyone, please stay safe this winter as you are traveling locally and distantly.
