Due to the ongoing impact of the Coronavirus pandemic and reduced student participation on state assessments in 2021, the Utah State Board of Education (USBE) is preparing to submit an addendum request to the U.S. Department of Education for certain requirements related to federal school accountability. The U.S. Department of Education has created a streamlined addendum process for States to adjust its ESEA Consolidated State Plan to request one-year changes for the 2021-2022 school year.
- The draft Addendum and a narrative summary of proposed changes are linked here for your reference.
- USBE has encouraged school districts to have stakeholders review the draft addendum, the accompanying summary, and make public comment should they choose.
Please submit comments to the proposed Addendum using the Qualtrics link below. The survey/public comment period will close on February 22nd, 2022.
