National Educational Non-Profit Honors Two Hillcrest Educators

The Murray City School District is home to two of the latest recipients of the Outstanding Educators award, a recognition program hosted by Learn Bright. While Learn Bright is a Utah-based non-profit, it maintains a national footprint, providing standardized lesson plans and digital resources to thousands of classrooms across the United States.
Despite its broad reach, the organization remains committed to honoring excellence in its home state. The Outstanding Educators program is unique because it is entirely student-driven: students submit nominations detailing the profound impact their teachers have had on their academic and personal growth. This year, the honors were awarded to Benjamin Scoville and Stephen Curtis, both distinguished faculty members at Hillcrest.
As winners, both Scoville and Curtis received an iPad and a commemorative award to support their ongoing work in the classroom. By highlighting these individuals, Learn Bright aims to foster a culture of gratitude and excellence within the teaching profession. The organization encourages continued participation from the community to help identify and celebrate the educators who are setting a national standard for excellence right here in Murray.
