Still Some Time for ECEC 2026-27 Preschool Registration: What Parents Need to Know

Families looking to give their little learners a head start can now mark their calendars. The Murray Early Childhood Education Center (ECEC) has officially announced registration details for the 2026-2027 school year, offering high-quality preschool programs designed to foster social, emotional, and academic growth for children ages 3 to 5.
The Journey Starts with a Connection
Parents should note a critical change in the enrollment process this year: completing the Aspire online system registration does not guarantee a spot. To ensure a smooth transition, all families must first coordinate directly with Preschool Coordinator Kristin Millet (kmillet@murrayschools.org) before attempting the online registration.
Open registration began, March 2, 2026, but runs through Thursday, May 28, 2026. Because the program operates on a first-come, first-served basis, early action is highly recommended. Should any spots remain, registration will reopen on Monday, August 10, 2026.
Class Schedules Tailored to Development
The ECEC offers specific tracks based on a child’s age to ensure the curriculum meets their developmental needs:
-
For 4 and 5-Year-Olds: These classes focus heavily on kindergarten readiness. Students meet four days a week (Monday through Thursday) in either morning sessions (9:00–11:30 a.m.) or afternoon sessions (12:30–3:00 p.m.).
-
For 3-Year-Olds: These sessions emphasize socialization and hands-on learning. Classes meet two days a week (either Tuesday/Thursday or Monday/Wednesday) with the same morning and afternoon time slots available.
What You Need to Register
To secure a spot, parents must provide an original birth certificate and a current immunization record (or a completed exemption certificate). Health Services will determine compliance status, and students must meet state requirements to attend.
There is a $75 registration fee per child to cover incidental expenses for the year, and tuition is billed on a monthly basis. Families are responsible for providing or arranging transportation for their students.
Supporting Every Learner
The Murray ECEC is committed to the success of every child in the community. For parents who may have concerns about their child’s development, the center offers FREE screenings for children ages 3 to 5 who live within the Murray School District boundaries. Parents are encouraged to call or email the office to check eligibility and schedule an appointment.
